THE SUPREME ONE

In Indian Mythology, there are a total of 33 gods. The prime one is VISHNU. Rest of all gods originated from him. So he is the supreme god accepted to all Hindus. He is the the creator and destroyer of all the entities in the universe. Generally, he is characterized diversely but his most common depiction is that of a body with blue colour, four arms holding different things in each hand.
He is depicted with following things:
1. A lotus flower in lower right hand.
2. A blunt Mace in lower left hand.
3. A Chakra in upper right hand(sharp discus rotating with high speed).
4. A Conch in upper left hand.
Depiction of Vishnu
Vaikunth is the abode of Vishnu which is beyond this Universe.
Vishnu mounts on Garuda a mythical creature with wings which carry Vishnu on his shoulders. The wife of Vishnu Is Lakshmi which is a deity of wealth and prosperity.
She is worshipped with great devotion on Diwali (festival).

Vishnu incarnated in 10 forms:
 1. MATSYA (form of fish)
 2. KURMA (form of turtle)
 3. VARAHA (form of boar)
 4. NARASIMHA (half human half lion)
 5. VAMANA (a dwarf form into giant one)
 6. PARASHURAM (human form)
 7. RAMA (human form)
 8. BALARAMA (human form)
 9. KRISHNA (human form)
10. KALKI (human form)
