The Creator- BRAHMA

While the supreme one,VISHNU rests on the SHESHANAGA (serpent with thousand heads),the BRAHMA originated from the naval of Vishnu. Brahma rises from the naval of the supreme one in a lotus flower. Brahma is known to be the creator of the whole universe.

Brahma is depicted with four heads and white beard which is the sign of his wisdom. He also have four arms just like Vishnu. Brahma hold following things in his hands:
1. VEDAS (the book of knowledge)
2. KAMANDALU (water pot)
3. MALA (string of beads)
4. SRUVA (a sacrificial tool )

The abode of Brahma is BRAHMALOKA.
He mounts on HANSA (a swan). The wife of Brahma is SARASWATI which is a hindu deity for knowledge, arts, music & speech. Brahma was the first among the Brahmans. At the time of creation he had four sons known as four KUMARAS but they did not follow the Brahma orders to reproduce and instead follows the path to god. Due to this Brahma created ten sons known as MANAS PUTRAS  because they all were created from the mind of Brahma.
Manas means mind and Putras means sons. "Manas Putras" are known to be the father of human race.

The ten Manas Putras are:
 1. MARICHI
 2. ATRI
 3. ANGIRASA
 4. PULAHA
 5. PULASTYA
 6. KRATHU
 7. VASHISTA
 8. PRACHETHASA
 9. BHRIGU
10. NARADA
