Krishna-Eight incarnation of Vishnu

Krishna was the incarnation of  VISHNU on earth. This was the eight incarnation of VISHNU.
One day Mother Earth approached Lord VISHNU and told him that their are lots of sins being committed by humans on Earth and she cannot hold the burden of these sins anymore. So she asked VISHNU to come to her aid. VISHNU promised her that he will incarnate in the form of Krishna on Earth to free it from evil.
Vasudeva carrying Krishna

After longtime, on Earth there was a prince who just became the king by throwing his father in the jail. His named was Kansa, the wicked king of Mathura. As he was enjoying this moment of becoming the new king, a loud voice from the heaven prophesied that he will be killed by the eight son of his sister Devki. Wasting no time the king put his sister Devki and her husband in the prison. Kansa due to his immense fear of Devki child, killed one child after other just after being born. So he killed Devki's six child. when the seventh child was born Vasudeva, the husband of Devki spread the rumor that it was a miss carriage and Kansa bought that. So this is how Balrama the elder brother of Krishna  survived. After that Vasudeva gave Balrama to Rohini, his second wife who raised Balrama afterwards. When Krishna was born, Vasudeva again tried to spread the rumor that it was a miss carriage but ministers of Kansa advised him to check himself because it was prophesied that eight child Krishna will kill him and cannot be changed. So Kansa himself started walking towards the prison. As Krishna was born, his radiance blinded all the guards in the prison except his father and mother which gave Vasudeva a chance to run from prison carrying Krishna. Vasudeva ran from prison carrying Krishna in the basket over his head to protect him from the wrath of his uncle. While carrying Krishna over his head Vasudeva had to cross Yamuna river but their was no boat so he tried to cross the river by himself. As he was crossing the river, it started raining heavily, the level of river rose up and it started flowing heavily. Sensing the trouble child Krishna took out his one foot from the basket and touched the river calming it down, So his father crossed the river with ease and after that he was delivered to a cow herder Nanda and his wife Yasodha. He was raised as a cow herder too by his foster parents.
The butter thief

As Krishna  started to grew up he was causing a lot of trouble for his parents and villagers too but in a playful way. He begun to develop his reputation as an adorable "butter thief".
Master of flute
He was the master of flute too and when he started playing flute it causes an state of ecstasy in the villager leading them to dance joyfully leaving there day to day chores, pain, sadness behind. But most important villagers saw him as there protector when he started slaying demons sent by his uncle to kill him. He returned to Mathura as a young man where he and his brother killed Kansa and instilled the righteous in his kingdom.
Krishna in holy war

But Krishna most important contribution was yet to come when he participated in the "holy war" alongside Pandavas against Kauravas in the region of Kurukshetra, a part of India. One thing most told about that war is that so much blood was spilled that the soil their is still red even today. I will write a blog in future on "Mahabharta" meaning the great war. So stay with me.
